Political and social commentator Frank Malingumu Gashumba has revealed that he warned his wife and baby mama, Patience Mutoni Malaika, that he would leave home if their relationship became a constant source of stress.
Gashumba explained that after dealing with pressure from work and business, he expects his home to be a place of peace, comfort and relaxation rather than another source of pressure.
He said his father had warned him against marrying more than one wife, adding that his past experiences had taught him about the challenges that can come with relationships.
“My dad warned me never to marry more than one wife, and I know what I went through. I can’t handle the stress that is brought by women. I even warned Malaika that if she stressed me, I would abandon her and go somewhere else. I want when I return home, I return to peace and comfort.”
Gashumba stressed that he considers home a safe space where he can unwind and find comfort regardless of the challenges he faces outside.

“A home must be a place where I can relax. Even when I have some crimes I have committed. In our family, we always live long, so the 40 or 30 years I still have on earth, I want peace.”
He said peace was one of the reasons he married Malaika and maintained that he would leave if that peace was no longer present.
“The reason I got married to Malaika is peace. If she doesn’t bring me peace, I will leave. When I’m home, I’m the Musuuga. If I leave, she is the deputy Musuuga.”
Gashumba also revealed that he currently has four known children, adding that Malaika is aware of all of them.
