Singer Winnie Nwagi has opened up about her love life, revealing that relationship struggles are among the reasons she has not yet walked down the aisle.
Nwagi made the revelation while appearing on Sheebah Karungi’s podcast Let’s Talk About It, where she discussed why some people, despite wanting marriage, find it difficult to settle down.
She said people often look at celebrities and wonder why they are still unmarried, without knowing the challenges they face in their private lives.
“Sometimes you’re still analyzing someone and then they lose patience. Things aren’t right, they haven’t balanced well for me,” she explained.
Nwagi also addressed her reputation for being tough and sometimes coming across as rude. She said some people already expect a negative reaction from her before they even speak to her because of her previous public incidents.
However, the singer believes the manner in which people approach her can influence how she responds.
She recalled an incident involving a fan who wanted to take a photo with her but was reportedly warned by her friend not to approach Nwagi because she might be slapped.
According to Nwagi, the comment had already affected her before the woman even spoke to her.
“Someone walked up to me and wanted a photo but I had heard her friend telling her not to come to me because I’d apparently slap her. She eventually came and asked and I told her that’s not how to go about it because that triggered me and would make me end up being rude,” she said.
