Singer Sheebah Karungi has praised her baby daddy, London-based events promoter Jaffer Suleiman, for being a good father to their son.
Speaking about fatherhood, Sheebah said she took her time before deciding to have a child with Jaffer, explaining that she wanted a man who would be present in their child’s life.
“This is for real men, and I’m honoured that I gave birth to a real man. I took my time, and my decision was not out of desperation that I was looking for someone to take care of me. No, I was looking for a man who would be a dad that I never had,” she said.
Sheebah, who has previously spoken about growing up without a father, said she did not want her child to experience the same.
“I grew up without a father, and I wouldn’t bring my child into this world to be raised without a father,” she added.
The singer also praised fathers who continue to provide and sacrifice for their children regardless of their jobs or circumstances.
“I’m proud of everyone out there who is a good father figure to your children. We love you, we appreciate you, we respect you. All those men who take care of their children, regardless of the kind of jobs you do, you keep sacrificing for your children,” she said.
Jaffer already has two daughters with another woman and shares a son with Sheebah.
