Tracy Melon Admits AI Can Sing Better Than Human Artists

Singer Tracy Melon has admitted that artificial intelligence (AI) can sometimes sing better than human artists, although she says its perfection makes it easy to detect.

Speaking on Galaxy TV, Tracy explained that AI-generated music often sounds “too clean” and “too perfect,” making it different from the natural imperfections found in human vocals.

“Something about AI, it’s too clean, it’s too perfect, which isn’t a bad thing, but AI can hit notes that I can’t hit. There are things I can’t do as a singer, but AI is flexible,” she said.

Tracy noted that as a vocalist, she considers herself a mid-range singer, while AI has no physical limitations because it does not have a human voice or throat.

According to her, this gives AI the ability to produce vocal performances that would be difficult for some human singers to achieve.

“AI can do better than me, but it’s a robot and I can’t compete with that,” Tracy added.

Despite acknowledging its vocal abilities, Tracy believes AI-generated music can still be identified within seconds because of how polished and artificial it sounds.
