Ykee Benda has openly challenged common beliefs about marriage, stressing that it should not be viewed as a life achievement.

He emphasized that marriage should not be viewed as an achievement or a measure of success. According to him, being married does not place someone above those who are single, and people should avoid using marital status as a benchmark for personal worth.
“Marriage isn’t an achievement, so you shouldn’t think that because you’re married… you are better than those who aren’t,” he advised.
He urged his fans to be intentional about choosing partners and to fully understand the responsibilities that come with marriage.
The singer also expressed concern that, even in 2026, arranged marriages still exist, with some people being forced into unions they don’t want.
“Getting married isn’t showing responsibility… a woman who still stays at their parental home or has moved out and is living alone and working out life is far better than one who got married only to be mistreated,” he explained.
Ykee Benda encouraged people to take their time before committing, emphasizing that societal expectations often create unnecessary pressure around marriage.
“It is better to live in the wilderness than to be with a contemptuous partner,” he added.
He concluded by reminding his fans that marriage comes with its own challenges, and people should only enter it when they are ready—not because of public perception or external pressure.
