Fik Fameica has weighed in on the ongoing debate sparked by Eddy Kenzo, suggesting that his remarks may have been widely misunderstood.

According to Fik Fameica, Kenzo’s statement about the current generation of artists making more money was not meant to demean or discredit pioneers in the industry, but rather to highlight how the landscape has evolved over time.
He explained that today’s artists have access to more income streams, including digital platforms, brand partnerships, and better industry structures compared to the past.
Fik Fameica also emphasized that collaboration and unity among younger artists have played a significant role in their financial growth, something he believes wasn’t as prominent in previous generations.
“I think what he said was a way of showing that this generation has united and held so many meetings together which has helped them grow and make money in music, something our pioneers didn’t do,” he said.
He maintained that Kenzo’s comments should be viewed as an observation of change within the industry rather than an attack, noting that each generation operates under different circumstances and opportunities.
