Only four out of 25 individuals who underwent DNA testing have been confirmed as biological children of the late Paul Kafeero, ending years of public uncertainty surrounding the legendary musician’s paternity.

The results were officially announced on Thursday at the Uganda Police Headquarters Naguru by officials from the Government Analytical Laboratory and the Uganda Police Forensic Services Laboratory.
The confirmation followed a court order that allowed the exhumation of Kafeero’s remains to obtain DNA samples for scientific comparison.
The four individuals confirmed as biological children are Thomas Kafeero Schwarzenegger, Simon Peter Kafeero, Benedicto Kafeero, and Elizabeth Nagawa. Their results matched the DNA profile derived from the late musician, officially establishing their lineage.
Meanwhile, the remaining 21 applicants who submitted samples were excluded after tests showed no biological match to Kafeero. The development brings closure to a long-standing dispute that has surrounded the legacy of one of Uganda’s most celebrated kadongo kamu artistes.
