Comedienne and actress Anne Kansiime has opened up about the moment she realized her marriage to Gerald Ojok had reached its end, revealing how a simple conversation marked the beginning of her exit from the relationship.
Speaking during the #LetsTalkWithMamiDeb show, Kansiime recounted how she approached her then-husband in 2017 after spending time reflecting on their future together. She found him watching Formula 1 and sat beside him to initiate a serious discussion about their marriage.
According to Kansiime, the turning point came after an interview with Citizen TV Kenya where she was asked where she saw herself in five years.
The question forced her to evaluate her life and relationship, and she realized she could not picture her husband as part of her future. When she returned home, she decided to share those feelings with him and explain that she no longer saw a clear path forward for their marriage.
Kansiime further revealed that she was at a stage where she was trying to get pregnant for her husband, but the realization about their future changed everything. She said that moment sparked what she described as her “exit strategy” from the marriage.
Over time, she followed through with that decision and eventually left the relationship, bringing an end to their five-year union.
