The late Ugandan TikTok creator Kayanja Timothy, popularly known as Jayden, is set to be laid to rest on Thursday, September 24, 2026, following his death in India on September 15.
Jayden reportedly passed away after a bone marrow transplant in India as he sought treatment for sickle cell-related health challenges.
Following his death, reports indicated that his family was facing hospital bills reportedly amounting to UGX 29 million. Well-wishers later stepped in to clear the outstanding bill and support the repatriation of his body to Uganda.
Burial preparations began with a vigil scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, at St. Kizito Catholic Church, Namungoona.
A requiem Mass will follow on Wednesday, September 23, at 10:00 AM at the same church. Another vigil will then be held in Sala Village, Wakiso District, where Jayden will be laid to rest.
On Thursday, September 24, mourners will gather for another requiem Mass before the TikTok creator is buried at his ancestral burial site in Sala Village at 4:00 PM.
Jayden’s final journey comes after his efforts to seek medical treatment in India and the support he reportedly received from well-wishers during his final days.
